After the "telling" scene, EastEnders viewers "work out" a reunion for the famed couple.

Recently, there have been a few breakups on EastEnders, but the show on Wednesday suggested one famous pair might be getting back together.

Fans of EastEnders believe they have found “telling” hints that Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) and Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) will reconcile.

The famous couple originally connected on the BBC soap in 2003, and since then, they have had an on-off marriage and relationship.

After he unexpectedly returned to Walford last year, Alfie gave up trying to win Kat back, and the thought of them getting back together hasn’t been broached in a while.

In contrast, Alfie discussed with Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) why he stopped attempting to force a reconciliation with his ex-wife in Tuesday’s episode, and Kat was happy for Alfie as he celebrated finally getting a new job.

Many people anticipated the two would soon reconcile on social media, with Twitter user @Emflem01 writing: “Kat is BEAMING. Get Kat and Alfie back together right away, #Eastenders, and solve this, #Kalfie.

Alfie was frustrated when he told Kat and Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) earlier in the episode that his job search was still going nowhere.

The two urged him to persevere, and Kat reassured him that something would materialise.

Later, while Sharon confided in him about her efforts to persuade Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) to be back together, Alfie was listening.

Alfie revealed that he had made valiant attempts to win Kat’s love back from her new boyfriend Phil Mitchel (Steve McFadden).

Later, though, when Alfie declared in The Vic that he had landed a job at the bookies, there was cause for celebration.

“You’ve never!” Before Alfie announced that he would begin tomorrow, Kat grinned.
