Liesl Obrecht from General Hospital is a truly unique woman. She is cunning and deceitful, but also very witty, and she has a sense of humor that can lighten any situation. Her portrayer, actress Kathleen Gati, is also exceptional and has reached a very significant milestone that deserves to be acknowledged.

And that’s because this talented actress turned 66 years old today! She was born on August 13, 1957, in Montreal, Quebec. Gati relocated to New York after finishing high school in order to pursue her acting career. Kathleen Gati started successfully auditioning for and performing in numerous theatrical productions both on and off Broadway once she had established herself in the Big Apple. She made an appearance (as an extra) in Ms. 45, an exploitation thriller directed by Abel Ferrara, in 1981.
She then appeared in numerous films from the late 1980s, such as Heaven Help Us, Forever, Lulu, Mr. Universe, and Creating Rem Lezar. Gati played the recurring part of Taffy Winslow on the ABC daytime drama All My Children between 1989 and 1990.
In 1992, Kathleen Gati received an invitation to Hungary so she could appear in the feature film Goldberg Variations. Gati received the Hungarian Best Supporting Actress Award for her performance. in answer. Gati stayed in Hungary for a number of years, appearing in numerous movies, TV shows, and made-for-TV productions.
Gati continued acting after she arrived back in the United States, earning credits on both large and small screens. Gati made her General Hospital debut on August 24, 2012. Liesl was only supposed to be a one-episode-long character, but Gati impressed the soap opera’s writers and producers so much that they kept writing for her. Laszlo and Agnes Gati, Hungarian immigrants who were both opera singers and conductors of symphonies, raised Gati. Michael Browers and she have been wed since April 17, 2012.
