Spoilers for General Hospital indicate Although legally Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth) cannot divorce anyone because he is not someone, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) will give him the option soon. Eddie might think that Liv, his so-called wife, is tricking him into posing as Ned Quartermaine in order to obtain legal status, but rumors have it that Liv only wants to leave purgatory. Although Olivia struggled to accept what her family is going through, she has now come to terms with the possibility that this may be her destiny. It might not be in the cards for her to spend the rest of her days with Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) by her side. But will a divorce free them both?
General Hospital Spoilers — Ned is No More
Recent events have led Olivia to the rather harsh realization that she might never see her husband again. She doesn’t see Ned when she gazes into Eddie’s eyes. He is absolutely convinced that he is Eddie. She’s not going to risk getting in a fight with him over it or chasing him away for the rest of her life. She must consider Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda). She therefore anticipates that when she gives Eddie the most liberating option possible—a divorce—he will seize the opportunity to end their marriage and start over.
GH Spoilers Hint Eddie Doesn’t Want a Divorce
Eddie doesn’t currently want to get divorced from Olivia. She is his most powerful ally in his fight to avoid being committed to a mental institution.
Olivia won’t allow Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) request to have him restrained in a straight jacket. That kind of power would only be returned to Tracy if they ended their marriage.
Of course, that doesn’t mean Eddie will tell Olivia why he doesn’t want a divorce, but if he wants to keep it to himself, he might have to tease her.
General Hospital Spoilers — Dating Instead of Divorcing
Eddie may have to convince Olivia that he is somewhat interested in discovering who they were or could be as a couple if he needs an argument for wanting to stay married to her.
He might be leading her on at first by disregarding caution and implying that anything could happen. However, there’s a strong possibility that Eddie will end up falling for Olivia the same way Ned did. Watch this space for upcoming GH news and spoilers:
