Eliza Woodrow has been getting to know her father Dom, and Coronation Street’s Stu Carpenter has been struggling with how to handle it.

Yasmeen Metcalfe (Shelley King), who plays Stu Carpenter on Coronation Street, is about to leave the cobbles, leaving the actor Bill Fellows’ character in for grief.

Yasmeen will reveal to Stu in upcoming scenes that Zeedan Nazir (Qasi Akhtar) intends to take her to Pakistan for her 70th birthday.

She is cautious in her choice, though, and she doesn’t want to leave him while he is upset over what is happening to Eliza Woodrow (Savannah Kunyo) and her father.

Stu urges that she must go since it will be a trip of a lifetime and he can handle things with Eliza and Dom because he is a wonderful boyfriend.

Will Yasmeen be able to celebrate her birthday and leave Stu alone?

Will Stu be able to keep Eliza and Dom happy while she is away, or will he wind up making things worse for the family?

When Stu saw Eliza had been lying about where she was and overheard a chat between the two, he first learned about Dom.

He admitted that he wanted to reconnect with his daughter after not seeing her since she was a newborn after confronting Stu and Dom.

Stu felt compelled to share their contacts with his daughter Bridget Woodrow (Beth Vyse), who was left incensed.

Eliza started refusing to talk to Stu after Bridget persuaded her father to keep Dom away from her, making Dom angry.

Concerned about what Dom’s plans were, ITV soap opera viewers rushed to Twitter.

@CaroleAnn1982 predicted: “Dom’s going to blackmail Stu #corrie.”

Simon Dillons said, “Not sure if I trust Dom… how did he initially get a hold of Eliza? a little jumbled.

“Hmm Dom is not sitting well with me,” tweeted @NotryNiles. What if he abducts Eliza to exact revenge on Bridget?

“Bit strange, just walks into her life and she is fine with it?” wrote @KingsNorthern. Surely you would be cautious as a young girl? in particular because they have never met.

It was written by Frances Knights: “Goodbye Dom… he needs to depart! Eliza has such wonderful parents in Stu and Yasmeen. (sic)
