In the GENERAL HOSPITAL episode from August 22, Cyrus chopped off all of his hair, and now he looks like a completely different man. With those abilities, the offender could definitely find employment at a barbershop or salon if he is sincere about changing his ways.
However, as viewers might have guessed, Cyrus’ makeover wasn’t actually done by actor Jeff Kober. The actor went to the hair and makeup area at the GH studio where the real magic happened between the character having a large blade cut off his shoulder-length locks and the following scene where his hair is trimmed short!
“Jeff Kober entrusted our award-winning hair and makeup team (featuring Abraham Rivera) with trimming his legendary locks for Cyrus’ dramatic prison transformation,” the soap wrote on social media. “Look at that!”
You can see in the time-lapse video that Rivera had to put quite a bit of time and effort into changing Kober’s appearance, but it was well worth it in the end! Tanisha Harper (Jordan) wrote in the comments, “Wow!” “What a change and you look fantastic! As usual, Abraham did a fantastic job. Lisa LoCicero (Olivia) and Lydia Look (Selina) both expressed their “love” for the new style, and Lisa simply used the fox emoji to sum it all up! With his new haircut, Cyrus actually presents himself well, but what’s the real story behind this new appearance? The prisoner has repeatedly mentioned finding religion and changing his life, but is this transformation merely superficial? Keep watching GH to find out what future surprises are in store!
