EXCLUSIVE: Over the past few months, Coronation Street has seen a large influx of newcomers, many of whom have had a significant impact on several important stories.

Recently, Courtney Vance (played by Stephanie Davis), who has her sights set on Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain), was presented to Coronation Street residents.

Before departing to deliver her baby Caben-Albi Davis, actress Stephanie Davis played Sinead O’Connor in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks.

Recently, she revealed how her mother played a key role in helping her obtain her “dream” role on Coronation Street.

Stephanie said the following when speaking to Express.co.uk and other media: “I was speaking to my mum the other day and I composed a poem when I was about 13 or 14.

I told her, “One day, I’ll be on the Cobbles of Coronation Street. She filed it away and pulled it out recently, saying, “How great is that?

That was one of your fondest goals when you were a child, and now you are living it. My teen handwriting, in all its little glory! A dream has come true.

“I have Caben, who is six years old, and you appreciate how much your parents sacrificed for you. I don’t know what I would do without her. She has been a huge part of my life.

As a result, I said, “Thank you very much for everything you have done for me. She is great. Absolutely fantastic describes it!

“A dream has come true! I’m in love with it, and everyone has been so welcoming. It’s a wonderful location with amazing people, and I’ve already settled in.

In previous scenes, Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) came dangerously close to catching Aadi and Stephanie as they fled to the kitchen.

Considering Courtney has only been there for two weeks, the couple has been developing their relationship quite swiftly.

The storyline has, however, been criticised and labelled “predatory” by certain ITV soap opera watchers.

Aadi is young and impressionable, and she has obviously shown resistance to Courtney, yet she continues, stated Beck on Reddit.

She has authority over him because she is his boss’s wife. Because of this, the entire plot—even if they’re both adults—is predatory. To be really honest, I kind of agree with some who have described it as grooming online.

She concluded, “He’s sleeping with her mostly out of duty and fear of losing his job and Dev’s business arrangement.

I don’t think they’re really making the tone of it clear, Allie concurred. Is their goal to tell a tale of exploitation or to engage in some hanky-panky? Is he enjoying the action or loathing it?

“Aadi is young, but he’s not a minor or especially defenceless. In terms of sexual interactions being shown on television, I believe that young people have more issues than Corrie. (sic)
