Michael’s character Chad Duell from GENERAL HOSPITAL and his partner Luana Lucci are expecting their first child in approximately a month. However, according to a recent Instagram post by Lucci, the expectant couple almost received their son over three months ahead of schedule.
Duell’s girlfriend uploaded a mirror selfie of her adorable baby bulge while wearing a swimsuit in her post. She also included a 3D sonogram image of their unborn child, whom she has lovingly dubbed Little D. It makes sense that Lucci was scared because of how difficult her pregnancy experience had been. The flight attendant previously disclosed that she had been diagnosed with placenta previa, which happens when the placenta rests very low in the uterus, as well as a sizable subchorionic hematoma, which is bleeding under one of the membranes that cover the fetus. Thankfully, Lucci’s third trimester did not begin with the birth of the couple’s baby. He made the decision to remain put for a little while “with a touch of miracle and the aid of skilled doctors,” she said. “As full term draws near, I’m thrilled to have made it this far in my pregnancy.”
Knowing that her and Duell’s son “defy the odds” and get stronger every day “fills my heart with indescribable joy,” Lucci admitted. I am reminded of our great journey together by those small kicks and flutters. All of our anxious moments will soon be beautiful memories as we hold our precious miracle in our arms.
Duell made his relationship with Lucci public in October, and in March he revealed he was going to become a father. The duo has included GH fans in their journey because Lucci has documented the majority of her pregnancy’s milestones. “Here’s to the remarkable little soul who has already brought so much love and strength into our lives, even before making an official entrance,” she said in her closing statement. “Little D, you’re our little superhero, and I can’t wait to start this wonderful chapter of parenthood with you.”
