In taking on a case like Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison), Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) is going to have her hands full, according to General Hospital (GH) spoilers. Yes, for her as well. Diane may be a hotshot with a spotless record of defeats, but there may be other restrictions on what she can do for Drew that she is not yet aware of. She is typically a very straight-forward lawyer who doesn’t give much thought to breaking the law, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t go above and beyond to protect the interests of her wealthy clients. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), one of these clients, might be interested in seeing that Drew completes the entirety of his three-year sentence, leaving Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) to flail in the wind.

General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny’s Sabotage

Sonny’s interest in keeping Drew safe may be his only and greatest concern. Instead, he has been looking for a way to win Carly back, and he may have finally found it. Few people like Drew and Carly’s definition of chemistry, which is frequently lamented by longtime GH viewers who believe that Carly will never be able to have the same kind of chemistry with any other man as she does with Sonny. Sonny’s efforts to keep Drew in place and please Carly may be the two motivations behind his protection measures.

General Hospital Updates – Say This is Bigger Than Cyrus

Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) was actually ensuring that Drew’s conflict with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) could continue when he went to Pentonville to correct Book (Brad Schmidt) and warn him not to touch a hair on Drew’s head. Sonny is aware that Cyrus will pursue Drew on his own in due course and that he doesn’t need to permit anyone to do so. Regardless of who dies in that conflict, Sonny will gain. Carly won’t know anything about this, and it will appear that Sonny did everything in his power to keep Drew safe.

Could Sonny Have Been Behind All of It?

Some fans have even begun to speculate that the judge who rendered such a harsh verdict against Drew and sentenced him to prison might have been bought off. Diane may be the one to piece together what actually transpired here when she begins to investigate the case’s specifics; namely, that Sonny made sure Drew was gone longer than he believes Carly can tolerate his absence. In the event that Diane must deny handling Drew’s case, how will she explain this to Carly? Watch this space for more GH information and upcoming spoilers to learn more.
