The EastEnders actress Heather Peace recently marked her tenth wedding anniversary with a heartfelt social media post in honour of her loved ones.

With her wife Ellie and their three gorgeous girls, Annie, Jessie, and Lola, the Eve Unwin actress posted a number of photos to her Instagram account.

How has it already been ten years since our wedding? she said in the caption. Happy anniversary to you, Ellie, my beloved.

“And to all of my girls; Ellie, Annie, Jessie & Lola, you have brought both joy and calm to my life and I love you all with all of my heart,” she concluded the touching eulogy before sending a message to her loved ones.

She added a string of crimson love hearts to seal the deal on the post.

Her EastEnders co-stars quickly posted their congratulations in the comments section.

Navin Chowdhry, the star of Nish Panesar and on-screen competitor, wrote “Happy Happy 10!” with a string of heart and heart-eye emojis.

Emma Barton, who plays Honey Mitchell, also contributed some of her own red heart emojis to the display of affection.

Fans were eager to congratulate one another as well, with one writing: “Happy anniversary! You serve as an example for myself and any other queer followers of what the future might hold.

“What a lovely family! Happy Anniversary,” said a third.

It’s wonderful to see that Heather has a lot more stable home life than her on-screen counterpart, who has had a very turbulent year.

Eve was completely smitten by the strong-willed Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), but she experienced heartbreak when Suki was pressured to chose her violent husband Nish over her real love.

At the British Soap Awards earlier this year, Heather spoke with Metro.co.uk and discussed the significance of Suki and Eve’s relationship in terms of providing representation for the LGBTQ+ community.

I believe the long arc has fulfilled its function, she remarked. “I believe that because it is taking place in real time, the time it takes is accurate.” I think the writers did an amazing job and that the portrayal for women of a particular age is, shall we say, fantastic.

“My co-star, Bal, is as dedicated to making this a love story as I am, and hopefully that comes across really,” she said. Just this soul-to-soul connection of these individuals who cannot exist separately.

And it merely serves to demonstrate the universality of love stories, whether they involve men and women or women. It’s all about humanity, after all.
