Following the terrible death of Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel), Emmerdale had provided an update on Priya Kotecha (Fiona Wade), indicating that the wedding planner is profoundly upset.

As viewers are aware, Rishi suffered a devastating end earlier this week after he skipped his son Jai’s (Chris Bisson) wedding.

Jai was the one who made the devastating discovery that the patriarch was dead at the bottom of the steps at Holdgate.

A number of pillars of the community, such as Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) and Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell), were absolutely devastated by Rishi’s abrupt loss as word of his death spread throughout the hamlet like wildfire.

When the GP arrived at the Woolpack to inform everyone of the well-liked resident’s tragic passing, none other than Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker), who was once married to Rishi, took the news to heart.

Priya was left saddened when Manpreet took it upon herself to inform her of her father’s passing. She called the wedding planner from the bar to convey the heartbreaking news.

Manpreet added, “Darling, I wish I was there to give you a hug. No one knows what caused Rishi’s passing at this time.

Our souls are torn apart.

Following a disagreement with business partner Leyla Cavanagh (Roxy Shahidi), Priya, as fans will recall, left the titular town earlier this year for an intriguing new opportunity in London.

Meanwhile, Rishi was abruptly killed off as part of a surprising plot twist. Star Bhasker Patel later revealed that the decision to kill off Rishi had actually been made by the show’s producers, who were looking for a huge shocker.

The producer called me and said, “We need to talk to you and we are killing you off because we want a big story and we want it to be a big surprise,” the soap star revealed on Lorraine on Friday, July 28.

“I felt like a part of Rishi and ITV.” When the filmmakers indicated they would kill me off, I immediately thought, “That part of my life is over, and I’m moving on.”

Rishi, we’ll miss you.
