Phyllis enlists Adam’s help in her quest to identify Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) vulnerability so she can exploit it. After proclaiming her preparedness to accept Tucker’s offer of work directing the IT section, Phyllis talks to him about her problem.
Adam is not someone who backs down from a challenge, especially when it concerns someone like Tucker. Despite the risks, he decides to work with Phyllis to confront Tucker, a decision that may be fatal.
Fans of Y&R are aware that Tucker is a strong adversary who is no stranger to retaliation. Despite Adam’s arrogant attitude when the expedition first begins, Tucker may just turn the tables and make Adam look silly.
If Adam does assist Phyllis in escaping Tucker’s control over her and gaining control over him, Tucker won’t take it lightly. He might perceive Adam’s involvement as interfering in his private affairs, in which case he might retaliate violently.

Since Sharon is one of Adam’s flaws, Tucker would relish Sharon’s pain as a result of his actions against Adam.
Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) brand-new design division at Newman Enterprises could be in risk if Tucker tries to assault it. Tucker may get interested in Sally since she is a source of vulnerability for Adam.
The consequences of Tucker’s actions would be amplified if Sally missed another opportunity to succeed, and Adam wouldn’t want that to happen.
