“The Young and the Restless” Spoilers don’t have a lot of surprises in store for this episode, and it looks like it’s going to fall into the category of time eater and character building.

In Genoa City, not much surprises us, so Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) receiving a warning for her actions is about what we anticipated.

Without further ado, let’s go into some spoilers since there are a few amusing scenes involving her kids!

“The Young and the Restless” Spoilers: A thrill ride

Summer Newman (Alison Lanier) will be filled with enthusiasm and prepared to start a new chapter in her life now that she has given up on her mother and any chance of reconciling with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).

While Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will be cheering her on as she rides a roller coaster to celebrate, he will be there to try to slow her down.

Yes, she is visiting a theme park to mark her rebirth into a new era. She appears to be about to tumble into a free fall, so “The Young and the Restless” spoilers try to get Chance to drop Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and grab her instead.

What possibly could go wrong?

“The Young and the Restless” Spoilers: Daniel gets an earful

When Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) complains about Phyllis, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), in a not-so-subtle surprise, will stand up for her.

Mariah will use her maternal instincts to chastise Daniel for making his mother answerable for her deeds because she is aware of the extent mothers would go to protect their offspring.

Though we have a hunch it won’t be quite that severe, Daniel is in for it.

“The Young and the Restless” Spoilers: Free and clear

Phyllis will be sentenced to a year of probation as well as six months of community service after entering a guilty plea and sharing her tale with the judge.

Naturally, if she makes a mistake the judge will be furious with her, but Phyllis will be determined to atone for her mistakes and rebuild the relationships she’s damaged ever since she discovered she can still get away with anything.

Since we anticipated that she would leave, this is lukewarm to use, but at the same time, this is just lazy writing. We’re hoping that her story of salvation involves more than just shaking a Magic Eight Ball.

Is Summer poised to cross over into the shadows? Check back for “The Young and the Restless” spoilers and let us know in the comments.
