Every fan has their own opinion about General Hospital, and Soap Hub is no different. We watched everything—the good, the bad, and everything in between—for five days, and now we’re here to give you a helpful recap and a lighthearted analysis of the GH week that was.

General Hospital: The Critic’s POV

You won’t be surprised to learn that I believe Jane Elliot (Tracy Elliot) stole the entire season of the show, not just the episodes from Thursday and Friday.

Let me know in the comments if you can think of anyone who performed better (although if you intend to say Sofia Mattsson [Sasha Gilmore], I’ll have to admit that I don’t see a lie being told!).

Further GH Musings

I had the impression that Gregory’s (Gregory Harrison) ALS was personal to him, but it was actually entirely about Finn (Michael Easton). My error.

Cody, Cody, Cody…The unamused emoji was created especially for use when talking about your antics.

  • Between the last time he was mentioned and Tuesday’s airshow, did Austin’s (Roger Howarth) and Mason’s (Nathanyael Grey) boss have a sex change? How discouraging. And here I’d been led to believe that girls, or at least a small portion of them known as Pautauk, were in charge of the world.

That said, does this mean that they also know his identity now that the replacement writers have determined with certainty that the leash holder is a man?Chris and Dan/Dan and Chris had no idea, even after all this time, as it was painfully obvious.

  • I’m still perplexed as to how Betty Boop is still in good health despite smacking Ava’s (Maura West) taste from her mouth and threatening to harm her loved ones. Connie was shot to [expletive] for nothing more than breathing in her general direction by Madame Jerome. (And yes, I am aware that my humor is only mild.)

I’m pretty sure that I now truly despise Molly (Brooke Anne Smith), so is the point to make me hate her?and I never was.

* It’s actually starting to irritate me how much effort the writers are making to paint Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) as a red herring in the “Who’s Out To Get Anna” plot line. * Curtis “I’m Being Hypocrite” Ashford (Donnell Turner), who is allowing a mob boss to run rigged poker games in the back of my club because she did him the favor of finding his (Marshall’s) medical records, is what I wanted to hear or see. Weekdays, ABC broadcasts General Hospital. For airtimes, check your neighborhood listings.
