A corpse emerges from Summer Bay. Who is that? Have they been killed?
We’re not sure how they met a horrible end.
But when it’s revealed that the body belongs to someone fans will recognize, the shocking revelation will rock the Bay.
We can reveal that on Home and Away, one of four characters—Leah (Ada Nicodemou), Mac (Emily Weir), Susie (Bridie Carter), or Justin (James Stewart)—will die.
And there are compelling arguments for each possibility.
“We’re in for an exciting journey,” says Lucy Addario, the series producer.
The death will have a cascading effect on upcoming episodes, which will have a body investigation, an arrest that is shocking, the debut of a stunning new character, and jaw-dropping action that will leave viewers gasping.
This week, we can locate Leah, Justin, Susie, and Mac in this location.
LEAH
Leah’s situation is becoming increasingly risky, and in more ways than one. Leah has been searching internet forums for the scammer ever after Susie defrauded her and Justin of their life savings.
Leah believed she had her best chance yet to apprehend Susie when she sent text messages to John (Shane Withington). But is Leah about to make a mistake that will bring her to the attention of a lady who will stop at nothing to avoid being discovered?
Ada, 44, tells TV WEEK, “Leah thinks she’s getting close and doesn’t for a second think that this could be dangerous.”
Her relationship with Justin has suffered as a result of her concern with finding Susie; she has also failed to recognize the severity of his opioid addiction.
Ada states, “Leah and Justin are not connected at this time.” She is determined to hold Susie accountable for her actions by pursuing justice on her own. She needs Justin’s support, but he doesn’t give it to her, and vice versa. They are not exchanging information about their needs with one another.
This week, Justin’s insatiable need for medications overwhelms him, and he spends the night searching wildly for his prescriptions. Justin reaches out and attempts to look for them on Leah, but he is desperate and foolish.
Leah hides in the bathroom, terrified for her life, as Justin bangs on the door, pleading for his pills.
Ada claims that “his behavior is really erratic and he’s becoming aggressive.”
Will Justin push things too far and hurt the one he cares about?
JUSTIN
You would be mistaken if you believed that Justin’s recent overdose on drugs served as a warning. Justin has gone too far by viciously beating Stephen and frightening Leah in addition to threatening Ziggy.
James, 45, claims that Justin only wants to find a way to obtain more drugs.
After discovering Justin’s covert painkiller stockpile in the garage, Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) calls Leah. They carry the bottles into Ziggy’s car’s boot together.
However, Justin arrives in a furious manner and insists on seeing what’s inside her boot.
Justin threatens Ziggy when he and Leah refuse, then speeds off. Later, Leah receives consoling support from Stephen (Bren Foster), another of Susie’s victims who has been assisting Leah in locating the scammer.
But for Justin, who has been observing them from a distance, it’s all too much.
When Stephen is by himself, a jealous Justin approaches him and knocks him down.
According to James, “Justin starts to get paranoid, thinking that Stephen is edging his way in [to Leah’s life].”
In a condition of extreme tension, Justin can act in almost any way. Will his insatiable drug craving, however, become fatal?
SUSIE
Susie McAllister, oh. When we last saw the con artist, she had left town with a bag filled with money that she had taken from the locals.
How did she act? She tricked Leah and Justin into giving over their life savings by pretending to be a real estate agent. Additionally, she embezzled funds intended for the Surf Club.
In an attempt to kill Irene (Lynne McGranger), Susie (Bridie Carter) inadvertently tainted John’s (Shane Withington) drink. Susie wasn’t done with Irene; once a cunning Irene realized what she was doing, she tried to halt her in her tracks and used chloroform to knock her unconscious.
The most devastating part of all, maybe, was that she made John (Shane Withington) believe she was in love with him. She was obviously simply using him, though.
Bridie, 50, remarks, “Everyone has a bag of life experiences that define who they are – Susie has that.” “Everything in her life has propelled her to this point.”
John found solace in Susie’s SMS messages in the most recent episodes. He was still in love with her despite what she had done, and he intended to see her while Leah (Ada Nicodemou) and Stephen (Bren Foster) remained out of sight. Susie, though, did not appear.
Based on what Leah has discovered online, Susie has clearly defrauded a great deal of people and amassed a formidable foe base who demand that she make good on her transgressions.
However, would someone really go to that extent and kill her?
MAC
Fans are aware that Mac is in pain because she is abusing alcohol, alienating friends, and having sex with total strangers. She then vanishes, and Dean becomes so concerned that he calls the police to report his half-sister’s disappearance.
Did Mac (Emily Weir) fall victim to calamity? Or has she misinterpreted a risky relationship for something sensual?
Mac’s inability to cope with the death of her and her ex-partner Ari’s (Rob Kipa-Williams) newborn child is at the core of her actions. Additionally, her anguish has increased upon witnessing him move on with Mia (Anna Samson).
Emily, 29, tells TV WEEK that “[Mac’s behavior] is a diversion from her emotional pain.” “She feels completely powerless inside, so it gives her a sense of control and power.”
This week, Mac shows up at Ari’s place unexpectedly and acts foolishly due to inebriation. Mac refuses to come inside, despite Mia’s best efforts.
Ari tries to take Mac away, but she swipes him away and nearly trips, landing on Emmett, her former boyfriend (JR Reyne). After being compelled to intervene, Dean (Patrick O’Connor) yells and kicks his sibling out of the celebration.
“Mac keeps destroying himself,” says Emily.
Mac is appalled and mortified by her behavior when she watches a video of her humiliating exit from the party in the cold light of day. She is nowhere to be found when Dean offers to prepare her breakfast later.
When Dean and Sam Frost’s character Jasmine try to phone her, there is no response. Alf (Ray Meagher) is even asked by Dean whether he has seen Mac around, but he hasn’t.
Worried, Dean makes the decision to report Mac missing at the police station. The body can’t be hers, surely.
Dean reports his half-sister missing, fearing the worst.
