Amanda Holden will appear in Channel 5’s Neighbours and she looked completely at home in the trailer for the new series, which has been released on Twitter in time for the new year

In the first glimpse at Amanda Holden in action on Neighbours, she was delivering on the drama.

Britain’s Got Talent judge will appear as Harriet, the British aunt of the show’s Harlow, in a London-based serial opera.

The show’s Harlow, played by Jason Donovan’s daughter, Jemma 21, paid a visit to glam Amanda’s character in the jam-packed trailer uploaded on Channel 5’s Twitter.

Jemma’s persona Harlow will travel to the United Kingdom to visit Harriet in the hopes of solving a mystery surrounding her late mother, Prue, played by Denise Van Outen.

In the trailer, Amanda is seen in character as Harriet, and her first words to her Australian niece are “Ramsay Street” followed by “What are you going to do?”

Amanda offered fans a taste of her classy character while she spoke on the phone on Instagram a few months ago.

She humorously remarked in the video, “Oh hello operator, Ramsay Street please,” in an upper-class voice, hinting at what her character may be like on the drama.

In October, Amanda and Jemma posed for a photo with the Ramsay St street sign, where the soap is located, in between filming scenes.

“My first day on set was such a fantastic and surreal experience,” Amanda stated. I would never have believed it if someone had told me when I was 12/13 years old that I would one day be on Neighbours!”

During filming for the show, members of the public assumed she and Jemma Donovon were linked in real life, according to the radio host.

“So many people were beeping in their cars, and bystanders mistook Jemma for my real daughter because we look so similar!” she explained. I’m looking forward to continuing the story of my character Harriet.”

“Like most people in the UK who were alive in the late Eighties and early Nineties, I grew up watching Neighbours every single day,” Amanda remarked in an interview about the show.

“While cursing Mrs. Mangel [Vivean Gray] and hoped that Mike and Jane [Guy Pearce and Jane Harris] would ultimately get together, I was glued to our TV for the wedding of Kylie [Minogue] and Jason [Donovan].” Not to mention all the other greats who have graced the stage over the years.”
