There’s a saying in the entertainment industry that says you shouldn’t work with kids or animals, but Esme on General Hospital, Avery Kristen Pohl, is loving her time with Jay and Joey Clay! She has also enjoyed seeing the young boys develop in person, just as viewers have done on television.

In a recent issue of Soap Opera Digest, Pohl enthusiastically declared, “One of them is walking, the other is crawling.” “They now have teeth. Their mother asked me to take a picture with them while I was with them on set the other day. And I responded, “Of course, yeah!” The next time you see them, they’ll be a year old, she then informed me. ‘What?!’ I exclaimed. That passed by so rapidly, in my opinion.

While Jay and Joey alternate playing Baby Ace in GH scenes, according to Pohl, one of the twins is featured on the show more frequently than the other. “Joey is the one you see on screen [most of the time] and he is just the happiest little baby,” she admitted. Jay is also really cute, but Joey appears to truly like working on the set. He loves it to bits.

Little Joey, according to Pohl, “has Kyle [Bell], our stage manager, constantly waving at him and making him laugh.” “He enjoys observing the lights. He’s just enjoying himself!”
