Fans believe they know why Cindy Beale left her husband and daughters behind as she returns to Albert Square this week, unaware that they are now residing at the Queen Vic.

This week, EastEnders star Cindy Beale (played by Michelle Collins) makes her long-anticipated return to Albert Square, and fans have been speculating as to why she left her husband and children after looking at her “timeline”

She was actually in the witness protection program, despite the fact that residents of Walford, including her children and ex-husband Ian Beale (Adam Woodyat), had thought she had died for the previous 25 years.

She met and wed George Knight (Colin Salmon) while she was living under the alias Rose during her time in hiding in Spain. The couple had two daughters, Gina (Francesca Henry) and Anna (Molly Rainford).

To the dismay of her daughters, who have suffered ever since, she abandoned them several years ago.

Fans of the program have been debating why she left her family on Reddit in anticipation of her comeback, and they have numerous theories.

When Cindy met George, married him, and had two daughters, she was residing as “Rose,” according to a user by the name of @stpony. However, she later left.

“Now, did she depart because the Witness Relocation Program told her to, or did she simply not want to be with them?

“Perhaps the bad guys had her in their sights, but then her family would have been in danger. They said, “Why didn’t she take them with her into another identity if they were in danger and she still wanted to be with them?

Another admirer, N1TR0_Z3U5, conjectured that she left since her daughter Lucy Beale passed away: “The timeline fits together fairly nicely, and I personally believe it has to do with the news that Lucy died.

They suggested, “Perhaps she found out, went crazy trying to find answers, left George and the girls but was stopped by witness protection, couldn’t go back to George so was left to stew on her own until Ian found her, or she found him.”

This theory was supported by @IAMHOLMSEY, who wrote: “Lucy’s the key reason. 9 years=2014. “The year she passed away,” they noted.

“The main query is why she would abandon Cindy Jr., who had just been born. Why did Cindy Sr. leave her behind when you may bring your children into witness protection?

Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell), Lucy’s half-brother, murdered Lucy in 2015. To make matters even more complicated, he has just lately begun a relationship with Cindy’s daughter Anna and has no idea who her mother is.

This week, as Cindy makes a comeback to try to convince her son Peter Beale (Thomas Law), who has been living with her and Ian, to return to France, viewers will finally learn the mystery’s origins.

She is not aware that George and her daughters are currently residing at the Queen Vic, which will undoubtedly cause a lot of trouble.
