The Sharma family in Emmerdale has experienced a difficult few days as Jai Sharma copes with the untimely death of his father Rishi on his wedding day.
On Monday’s episode of the serial drama Emmerdale, another abrupt exit was shown, but fans are now sure that a beloved character is returning to the ITV soap.
Following the passing of Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel), Georgia Sharma (played by Trudie Goodwin) left the Yorkshire Dales during the most recent episode.
In terrible circumstances that played out last week, Rishi’s son Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) tragically discovered his death.
Since they had a falling out before he passed away, Jai has been finding it difficult to accept the death of his adoptive father.
Rishi was warned not to go to Jai’s wedding to Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) before his passing.
Georgia contacted Rishi to come over when Jai subsequently had a change of heart, not realising that Rishi was already dead at the foot of the steps.
Georgia was asked by Laurel in the most recent episode, “Are you sure you’re going to be OK travelling back down on your own?”
I’ll be fine, honey, and it’s for the best since Priya Sharma and Amba both need me, Georgia continued. You two also require a private space.
Emmerdale viewers expressed their optimism Priya Sharma (Fiona Wade) would return to the ITV soap on Twitter after the episode.
“Priya is only an hour and a half away by train lazy cow should have been there by now,” Mick wrote on Twitter. (sic)
Looks like Georgia’s visit will be brief and sweet, Ryan wrote. She’s thinking of going to see Priya. I’m hoping Priya returns to the community for Rishi’s burial. #Emmerdale.”
Pete continued, “Heard some people saying Rishi will be getting buried in India. I guess that would save bringing Priya and her brother back #Emmerdale.”
“Priya and Nikhil need to return to #Emmerdale,” wrote Tam O’Driscoll.
As Michael Marshall put it, “#Emmerdale will princess Priya return for one more episode.”
