After an incredible EastEnders cliffhanger that saw Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) meet her daughter Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) for the first time in nine years, Cindy’s (Michelle Collins) big secret is finally out in the open.

And with so many familiar faces in the Queen Vic, where else would that happen?

Did we also add that the majority of them believe she passed away around 1998?

As Cindy walked into the pub to meet up with her daughters, Tracy and Winston, who were both familiar with her from their earlier days, were undoubtedly astonished.

It took Anna a bit to realize who was in front of her as she was still making a birthday wish with her eyes closed, but she soon realized it was her mother.

Sister Gina (Francesca Henry), Sharon Watts (Steve McFadden and Letitia Dean), and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) all shown similar shock, while Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) simply appeared perplexed.

Even though the episode finished there, there is still a lot of drama still to unfold on this night.

She has told her husband George (Colin Salmon) why she had left and why she couldn’t return, but she will soon need to explain the same to Anna and Gina.

However, when the girls go to Peggy’s to drown their sorrows, things quickly spiral out of control, forcing George to confront his darkest dread.

In the meantime, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) has also returned, forcing Sharon and Phil to deal with yet another face from the past.

Sharon is determined to put the past behind her and summons the fortitude to speak to Ian despite Phil’s apparent desire for Ian to be removed from the picture.

Later, Cindy’s second family is revealed to Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), who is still having trouble accepting Cindy’s continued existence.

Will life in Walford ever be the same again after such a memorable evening?
