At the beginning of Tuesday’s (August 22) episode of Emmerdale, preparations for the baptism of baby Reuben were proceeding well. The godparents had been selected, and the christening gown had just been dry-cleaned and pressed. What possibly could go wrong?

the place. The Hide had been double booked, thus there was nowhere for the baptism party to be held, Chloe (Jessie Elland) received a call informing her of the terrible news.

After hearing this dreadful news, Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) intervened to give the cafe. They may hold the christening there for the cost of a contribution for new defibrillator pads since the old ones were used to revive Bob (Tony Audenshaw). Chloe had her heart set on a more luxurious location, and moreover, neither she nor Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) ever appear to carry cash, so it was a no from them.

Chloe didn’t take kindly to Mack’s offer to decorate Moira’s (Natalie J. Robb) barn, and it appeared that the christening might have to be postponed.

After afterwards, Charity (Emma Atkins), who had learned about the christening via Nicola, volunteered the Woolpack for the celebration as they were enjoying a drink there. Chloe responded to this with a mocking snort, assuming that Charity was joking as the last thing she’d want was for Mack and Chloe to be seen acting like a happy family in her bar.

Charity, on the other hand, took the gesture rather seriously, and Chloe later apologized to her for her behavior. She still, however, did not want to attend the event at the Woolpack.

It didn’t take long for the two ladies to start squabbling, with Chloe claiming that this was precisely why she didn’t want Charity to host the christening because any casual remark could lead to conflict.

I swear to you, you might someday turn out to be an intriguing person, Charity said.

Like you were before your mid-40s when your intellect, face, and body started deteriorating, Chloe responded with a handclap.

The age gap between Charity and Mackenzie periodically gave her anxiety when they were dating. She worried that one day Mack would leave her for someone younger, a worry that evidently came true. Chloe struck with an extremely weak blow.

Charity got a warning about the christening and was no longer in the mood to be kind.

She emphasized, “I don’t have to ruin it here for it to happen.” “I can sabotage it anywhere.” And if it strikes my fancy, I might well do it.

Chloe might live to regret this particular quarrel as we already know that Mackenzie and Charity plan to sleep together once more before the christening ever occurs.
