When Tom and Belle’s big day arrives on Emmerdale next week, will Belle regret her choice when the groom’s dark side reappears?

There have been some bumps in the road leading up to the wedding; in fact, the first proposal ended in an unexpected twist of events.

Only five months after returning to the village, in October, Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) declined Tom (James Chase)’s proposal of marriage. Tom pushed Belle away from him out of frustration, which sent her flying and striking her head.

Belle was shaken, but she thought Tom didn’t mean for it to happen, so they decided to move on from the ordeal.

Later on, Belle came to the realization that she had wanted to wed Tom after all. With the assistance of Torvill & Dean, she was able to pull off an even better proposal after her family’s surprise birthday celebration derailed her initial attempt to pop the question on Christmas Day.

But Tom is acting in an even more unsettling way in the days leading up to the wedding next week. When Mandy (Lisa Riley) ruined the couple’s “sten do” plans to throw Belle a proper female-only hen’s party, Tom was already seen having to hold his tongue. As a result, he ended up moping and sobbing with Suni (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana).

Eden Taylor-Draper tells us, “I think Belle is just so in love, and of course on paper Tom is such a dream man and her whole family loves him too.” They do, for the most part, have such a wonderful relationship, and he is a veterinarian. He is also great and charismatic. Needless to say, we have witnessed a few things. We have seen his domineering behavior, but I believe Belle is currently choosing to ignore it all because she believes he is acting solely out of love.

Another obstacle arises when Tom learns all of a sudden that Belle plans to remain Belle Dingle and not change her name to Mrs. King.

Eden says, “I think she’s very passionate about maintaining her name because she’s Dingle and proud of that.” She finds great meaning in the Dingle name. Furthermore, in my opinion, given that her mother isn’t present. Their name and absence, in my opinion, are such powerful symbols for Belle. Tom wishes to carry on the King family legacy since he is no longer with his parents. For that reason, I believe a combination of that.

Tom seems to accept Belle’s explanation, but Belle can tell that it’s weighing heavily on Tom’s mind. In the end, Belle consented to become Belle King because she wanted her fiancé to be happy.

Eden goes on, “He explains the reasons why he wants to continue the King name, but he is not really pressuring her.” “She had simply assumed she could remain a Dingle,” he said. Belle would also like their children to share the same last name if they do end up having kids. She thus realizes it’s time to stop worrying about the Dingles and start concentrating on her new family.

James Chase continues, “I think he is just quite traditional in that way and wants to carry on the King name.” “It’s probably just another way for him to declare, ‘You are a King now.'” a chance to put her family at a distance.

Tom seems to be craving distance from the Dingles, but in the final days before the wedding, Belle is more upset about the absence of a specific two. Belle is upset when her father Zak (Steve Halliwell) calls her after her mother Lisa (Jane Cox) passed away in November 2020.

Eden discloses, “Zak is in Scotland with Debbie and is unable to travel due to a back injury.” “Belle learns at the last minute that Zak will most likely not attend. and freaks out, saying, “Let’s cancel the wedding.”

Tom is irritated and tells Belle that neither of his deceased parents will be present either, and that he only has his uncle Jimmy (Nick Miles) to watch out for her, whereas she has a large extended family. Belle is left to consider her options after Tom storms off in a foul mood.

Eden goes on, “Obviously, Zak’s presence means a lot to her.” “Let’s focus on us; this is about our day and how they are all here in spirit,” Tom says, adding that his parents aren’t there either. She is ultimately okay with it, but it is obviously very important to her.

James comments, “I think Tom a little bit jealous,” regarding Tom’s demeanor. “At one point, during a fight, he was genuinely quite forthright about it, saying things like, ‘You have such a big close family, you should be happy with what you have, I have not got that.'” I believe that he is partially resentful because he doesn’t have a large, close family.

“His sister, mother, and father have never been close to him. Additionally, despite having a relationship of sorts with his uncle Jimmy, it’s not close, and they frequently argue. Therefore, I believe that Tom is indeed envious of her possessions and believes it is her duty to match his circumstances. If you can see that I’m not as close to my family as I once was. So why do you spend so much time with them? Why don’t you replicate my circumstances? I believe that to be his likely thought process.

Belle is still waiting for word from Tom on the wedding day, which is the following morning. She worries that she might have irritated him enough for him to cancel the wedding completely as she keeps leaving him messages.

Tom begins to see things more clearly after speaking with Jimmy, and Belle is relieved when Tom eventually texts her to confirm that the wedding is still scheduled.

Belle is fussed over by Mandy and Lydia (Karen Blick), but at last she can begin to enjoy her preparations.

Concerns are raised at the church about Sam (James Hooton)’s ability to return in time to give Belle away after seeing Zak in Scotland.

Luckily, he arrives just in time with something extremely special for Belle in the dependable old Dingle van.

Eden reveals, “Zak has given Sam a letter to give Belle.” “It was written by her mother Lisa to be opened on the day of her marriage before she passed away. Belle is upset when she receives the letter because she finds it to be too emotional and feels that it is too much to read right now.

She keeps it safe to read later by stuffing it into her wedding bouquet throughout the day. I can’t even begin to imagine getting something like that—something so priceless that had been carefully preserved for that momentous day—but the letter is so lovely and heartfelt. That someone would do that is very emotional and such a precious moment.

Sam leads his sister down the aisle by taking her arm. Tom waits for her, already starting to grow tired of the peculiarities in the Dingle family.

Following a few minor hiccups, Charles (Kevin Mathurin) preside over the ceremony and the couple is officially announced as husband and wife.

To Tom’s annoyance, the Dingles celebrate in their customary way as everyone proceeds to the reception at The Hide.

With the infamous welly on the top table, ready to be sipped, it’s obvious that the family is determined to uphold tradition. Tom finds it difficult to keep his cool when the family continues to irritate him.

James tells us, “The Dingles are quite bombastic, fun, and crazy.” “I really mean that, but Tom isn’t too excited about it. His family seems much more reserved, in my opinion. Undoubtedly, he was raised in a more reserved manner. His dad wasn’t the best, of course, and I believe his mother had to handle the majority of it alone. Because of this, I believe Tom is not accustomed to the chaos of the Dingles, but he is also irritated that his private, sincere moments with Belle are continuously interrupted, as you will see at the wedding.

“I believe he has lost control and finds it frustrating. I believe that control is ultimately what matters most. He doesn’t seem to know how to handle their chaos. Since he is very orderly and the family is chaotic, and he cannot turn that off, I would say that he feels somewhat threatened by them. I don’t think he had factored in the fact that you are thrown into the thick of things when you marry a Dingle.

James goes on, “I don’t want to reveal everything, but there are some moments that jar with Tom.” He thinks their actions are impolite. He believes that since it’s their wedding, the family ought to give them some room. Tom, though, ought to be aware of the family he is getting married to.

“I believe that things like the conga irritate him because that is supposed to be their first dance, a chance for them to finally connect as a couple before the Dingles suddenly show up.” This is the Dingles’ way of extending a warm welcome to him as a member of the family. But he is blind to that.

Eden teasingly says, “Well, a lot happens at the reception.” “I won’t reveal what. She can sense that he’s becoming irritated over trivial things, so I believe that does alter things a little. I believe she is simply telling herself, “It’s okay, it’s okay,” and then at the end of the day, something occurs that simply causes her to reflect. Have I made the correct decision? Is this the man I should be with?

Ruby, the estranged wife of Caleb (Will Ash), is one of the guests who will undoubtedly irritate Tom (Beth Cordingly).

Ruby has made it her mission to ascertain Tracy’s (Amy Walsh) motivation for informing Nate (Jurell Carter) that their marriage is terminated. Ruby, who believes Tracy must have had an affair, has been searching for the unidentified beau.

She is unaware, though, that the man in question was actually Nate’s uncle, Caleb. Ruby approaches her son Nicky (Lewis Cope) the following week for advice on how to get Caleb back, but everything falls into place when she witnesses Caleb and Tracy conversing on Main Street that evening.

However, a resentful Ruby chooses to wait it out, planning to cause as much havoc as possible with the timing of her admission.

Indeed, Ruby purposefully creates an awkward atmosphere as the Dingles get together for the wedding reception, and she later ends the event by telling the whole family about Caleb and Tracy’s affair!

Tom is upset that Belle’s family seems to have ruined their special day as the reception gets out of control!

Putting chaos aside, would Eden and James be interested in a similar arrangement for their individual weddings?

Eden laughs, “It’s just Dingle mayhem when they go to reception at the Hide. That’s why I loved Tom and Belle’s day.” It’s the little things, like having to perform the conga. It’s been a long time since I did the Dingle conga.

Therefore, even though I have no idea how it would turn out in reality, I would genuinely adore that day for myself. However, there would probably be a lot of Dingles at my wedding, so it would probably just become a Dingle conga!

James continues, “I think I would tone it down a bit.” However, I wouldn’t want it to be too ordinary, so I would want to partake in some of that fun. You would want them to enjoy themselves. There would be no doubt about the conga.

But how is Eden feeling about the upcoming year now that Tom’s true colors are beginning to show?

“As for me, I’m very happy. It’s going to be a great year, in my opinion. a significant year. It will be difficult, but I think I’m up to the challenge. Belle also doesn’t know what’s about to happen.
