The Anderson family was a major feature of the most recent Emmerdale episode, and Charles and his dad Victor—whom he had been separated from until recently—continued to argue.

During the Monday episode of Emmerdale, angry viewers requested the soap’s creators to “get rid” of Eddie Osei’s character Victor Anderson.

As the current episode of the ITV classic once again focused on the family conflict, irate viewers quickly flocked to social media to vent their displeasure with the plot.

@Reeceyboy2591, a Twitter user, raged, “He’s [Victor] acting like a pantomime villain, can’t even take it seriously #Emmerdale.”

When are Victor and Claudette departing, tweeted @pol277? “Please watch #Emmerdale!”

“Another episode of the Anderson Family show, I see. Now that I genuinely detest that program, #Emmerdale, @Carol44698330 groused.

“I can’t even begin to tell you how much I detest the Charles/Victor and the mother [storyline],” @BettyBlethers continued. You would never permit him to continue residing in the same home. #Emmerdale.”

“Please get rid of Victor,” tweeted @Dan240993. #Emmerdale.”

Ffs sort it out, Claudette and Victor are AWFUL characters, wrote @debbiecosway85. Ditch it! #Emmerdale.”

Some people, however, were drawn to the plot and felt pity for the characters.

What man Charles’s age puts up with his parents moving in? asked Shirley Fields in a tweet. That explains why Manpreet is tired of Emmerdale.

“If I was writing this as the shot of Charles standing over Victor after Victor said he is here for the duration,” wrote @itzzzo_, “I would’ve had Charles whack Victor right around the f***ing head!!!!!!! #Emmerdale.”

Victor has been reluctant to leave the town despite his attempts to convince his family that he is no longer a troublemaker; nonetheless, on Monday’s episode, he and Charles (Kevin Mathurin) had a heated disagreement.

In the episode, Victor agitated Charles on purpose.

I’m here because that’s what Claudette (Flo Wilson) wants, and I always want to please my women as a gentleman and a scholar, he said.

“You ought to try it sometime,” he said, to Charles’s “What?”

“Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) deserves so much better,” Victor retorted.

Who knows – if things don’t work out between me and your mother, I might try knocking on her door. I don’t know how she puts up with you. I believe Manpreet is secretly attracted to me.

Before Claudette arrived and saw, Charles leapt at his father, ordering him to release Victor.
