The subject of whether Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) will pardon Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is raised by General Hospital (GH) spoilers and rumors. It takes a long time to harbor resentment, and Valentin assisted in the Greenland rescue of him, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), and Ace Prince-Cassadine (Joey and Jay Clay).
General Hospital Spoilers – Spencer Cassadine’s Ten-Year Grudge
Spencer’s previous ten-year grudge towards Ava Jerome (Maura West) is strongly tied to his current ten-year grudge against Valentin. When Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) “died,” Valentin “took” Spencer’s heritage, which Ava was supposed to help reclaim. Instead, Ava sought Valentin’s assistance for cosmetic surgery. That is what the entire gaslighting plot by Spencer and Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) to separate Nikolas and Ava was about, but Spencer has subsequently picked up some new information.
For starters, he discovered that “Uncle” Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), who had assisted his father in faking his death for all of those years, wasn’t anyone’s friend. When he observed him using his own son, Valentin, as a test subject for the lethal infection he intended to deploy to wipe out the majority of the world, even Spencer rejected him.
General Hospital Updates – It Wasn’t Spencer Cassadine’s Score To Settle
When Nikolas jumped backward from the top-floor window of the Cassadine mansion on Cassadine Island, Valentin was unaware that Nikolas had staged his demise. Valentin did shoot him, but his aim was just to injure him rather than kill him, and he was never charged with Nikolas’ homicide. Although he eventually learned, Valentin himself was unaware that Victor was his father or that he was also staging his demise. Valentin lost his identity and felt disenfranchised when Nikolas unearthed the codicil to Mikkos Cassadine’s (John Colicos) will that disinherited him. Later, he learned Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) was his mother. Spencer, however, was only 10 years old when Nikolas fell out of that window, so he had no score to settle.
Now Valentin Cassadine Tried To Help Find Nikolas Cassadine
Now that Victor and Nikolas had hidden out at the former Cassadine property in Chechnya, Valentin sought to assist in the search for the missing Nikolas, but they were unsuccessful. Spencer understands that Valentin is his friend rather than his foe and that he did not attempt to take Spencer’s birthright when he was ten years old. Valentin genuinely believed he was the heir since he felt Nikolas had passed away and was unaware of any codicil.
Spencer might find it in his heart to pardon Valentin if he considered the forced sacrifice Valentin made in Greenland, where he almost perished. Family is significant, and there aren’t many Cassadines left now.
