General Hospital Spoilers: Cody’s Confession To Mac Brings New Hope!

Spoilers for General Hospital hint at Josh Kelly’s character, Cody Bell, has experienced a lot since he fell from the sky and hit Britt Westbourne, played by Kelly Thiebaud, sending the two of them plunging into the hotel’s rooftop pool.

There appeared to be some flirtation between Britt and Cody, but they were never able to pursue it. Britt tragically passed away a few months ago following an attack by the Hook, whose real name was Heather Webber (Alley Mills).

John J. York’s character Mac Scorpio believed Cody was more complex than most people knew. Mac thought he might be Cody’s biological father after Cody revealed the identity of his mother, Dominique Baldwin (Shell Danielson), with whom he had previously had romantic relations. Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) was also involved with Dominique. In the end, he was able to persuade Cody to undergo a blood test so they could establish their actual relationship.

After learning that he was, in fact, Mac’s son, Cody made the decision to tell a falsehood about it. Before coming to Port Charles, Cody had been a con artist and a grifter for the most of his life. Additionally, he started working as sort of a plant for Selina Wu (Lydia Look) during her high-stakes poker games in the Savoy’s back room.

Cody was concerned that Mac would wish they had never met because of his past and tendency to get into trouble. Cody was partially right—he did run into significant difficulties while attempting to assist Sofia Mattsson’s character, Sasha Gilmore.

Mac finds himself in Cody more and more as he gets to know the young man. Cody would have to acknowledge that he had known they were related for months, even if he truly wanted to tell the truth.

Mac would feel hurt, maybe even thinking that Cody doesn’t want him to be his father. But Cody has to admit, in the last few months, he’s become pretty proud of the man he’s gotten to know. Although Mac and Cody still have time, their journey to become a family will not be without its challenges.
