General Hospital spoilers and news for Friday, August 4 hint at breaking developments, uneasy conspirators, and newcomers. Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) are anxious, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) provides a news update, and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) has just returned home.
General Hospital Spoilers: Elizabeth Baldwin Concerned
Around Port Charles, Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) seems to be a hot topic of conversation. When Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) inquires about his whereabouts, she is at the hospital. She might have heard Austin and Ava talking after she heard his name, but she certainly missed the part where Ava was accused of “killing” Nikolas.
Nikolas was removed by Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Gray) from the Cassadine stables’ tack room and placed on life support in an undisclosed location. Since then, however, Laura and Kevin Collins (Genie Francis and Jon Lindstrom), who were on Cassadine Island, have not seen or heard anything about him.
GH Spoilers: News Update
Finn is asked for an update by Nurse Deanna Sirtis (Dioni Michelle Collins) at GH, most likely regarding his and Elizabeth’s revived romance. He tells her “the best” while grinning ear to ear when she asks whether there is any good news. Additionally, Finn and Elizabeth will talk it out and spend more time together. The on-again, off-again pair, who have gone through a lot together over the past few years, appears to be doing well.
General Hospital Spoilers: Nina Reeves Visits Willow Corinthos, Michael Corinthos’ Concern
Despite Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) worries, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will return to see Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen). Since the last time Willow had visited was when Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) was detained, Willow tells Michael that she is truly happy that Nina saved her from something. She was caught for theft after bringing Willow a lot of clothes, and no one could figure out why she lost it and stabbed Cody Bell (Josh Kelly).
Despite Michael’s lingering worries, Willow appears to be developing a bond with her birth mother Nina gently but steadily. However, he assured Willow that he would support her in her decisions regarding Nina.
GH Spoilers: Ready And Willing
Nina has since visited Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) at Charlie’s Pub and has expressed her desire to assist in any manner she can. This is probably about the youth shelter that Kristina is trying to start, but it could also be about something else. All of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) children have welcomed Nina, with the exception of Michael and, of course, his former stepdaughter Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). Kristina seems to have accepted Nina the most out of the three girls, aside from the two youngest.
General Hospital Spoilers: Nervous Conspirators
Austin and Ava are still discussing the predicament that has occurred since Ava spilled the Nikolas tea on Sonny in his office at GH, including Austin’s assistance to her. Ava wants to know if there was anything for Dex to observe since Austin was aware that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) was following him. Dex is unlikely to have observed or overheard Austin and Mason discussing Gordon Stevens (Maurice Hall), who Dex discovered shot to death behind GH.
However, as long as Mason is present, Austin and Ava will feel anxious. Ava acknowledged that Mason still wants her to speak with Sonny to get Pikeman inside information.
GH Spoilers: Cassadine Island Search
Laura and Kevin continued their hunt on Cassadine Island after Valentin, Laura, and Kevin returned home after failing to locate any leads regarding Nikolas in Chechnya. Laura assures Kevin that they will face whatever they uncover together, even if it means discovering nothing and no one. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was buried in the collapsing tunnel when Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and other Port Charles residents returned home from Cassadine Island. Nikolas is unlikely to be present either, as he wouldn’t have traveled that far if Mason hadn’t planned to put him on life support.

Valentin (Finola Hughes), who recently returned to Port Charles from Chechnya, checks in with Anna Devane right away. As they talk about the Metro Court Pool shooting, Anna shares what she knows with Valentin, who then inquires as to her certainty that “he” wasn’t a target. Although Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) was hit by a ricochet bullet, the “he” is most likely Sonny.
If Curtis was collateral damage and Sonny the target, then Anna is the one who is being pursued. The sniper’s rifle was discovered in the WSB stockpile.
