Just weeks after Sam Frost departed Home and Away, another fan favorite will leave the soap over his vaccine status.

Just weeks after Sam Frost left the program, a fan favorite will quit Home and Away due to his vaccination status.

According to The Daily Telegraph, actor Harley Bonner, who played paramedic Logan Bennett on Channel 7, will no longer appear in the long-running program.

Despite a requirement from Seven that all workers working on its projects be vaccinated against Covid-19, it’s believed the model-turned-actor has not been immunized.

Last November, employees were given a deadline of early November to decide on their immunization status.

Bonner, who previously appeared on rival Channel 10 soap Neighbours, joined Home and Away last year and made his screen debut on August 9.

It’s understood the role will not be recast.

“Can confirm Harley will not return to Home and Away when production resumes in the coming weeks,” a Seven representative informed The Telegraph in a statement.

“Harley leaves with our best wishes and sincere thanks for his work on the show,” she added.

The 30-year-old recently stated that he felt “at home” on the show and that he was “enjoying every minute of it.”

Bonner’s exit follows that of Frost, who finished filming her final episode as Jasmine Miles in December.

In early October, the 32-year-old announced that she had not been vaccinated against the coronavirus in an emotional video posted to her Instagram.

She warned that she “might be in trouble” if she revealed her vaccine stance, but she pleaded for “compassion” and “empathy” for people who have made the same decision.

“It’s a really hard time to be in society right now, you feel like you are less of a human and you feel like people judge you, and you’re too scared to talk about your opinion or your feelings, and part of you wants to go, ‘Well, it’s none of your damn business why I’m not (vaccinated)’,” she said.

The criticism was fast and fierce, with many people wondering how Frost was able to continue working on Home and Away without being vaccinated. Later, the former Bachelorette said that her character was momentarily “written out” to allow her to get the job.

It was later confirmed that she would leave the soap, which she has been a part of since 2017.

“We support and respect Sam’s decision to leave Home and Away,” a Seven statement regarding Frost’s departure said.

“Sam leaves with our sincere thanks and very best wishes for the future.”
