Ada Nicodemou had a very different appearance when she debuted in a Hollywood film in 1999.

Since 2000, the actress has portrayed Leah Patterson on Home and Away, for which she is most recognized. The 46-year-old, who co-stars with Ray Meagher and Lynne McGranger, is the third longest-serving performer in an Australian soap series.

Ada costarred with Keanu Reeves in The Matrix before getting a role in the Australian soap opera. She portrayed DuJour, a gothic-inspired figure.

Fans were astonished to see a revived photo of Ada’s persona online. The star’s black hair, arranged in a high bun and paired with a blunt-cut fringe, rendered her unrecognizable.

She had several gold rings around her neck and was wearing a black crop top made of latex. The character, in stark contrast to Leah’s appearance, wore a vivid red lip and bright red eyeshadow.

One fan on Facebook shared a photo of Ada dressed as DuJour and commented, “Ada Nicodemou, who is also known as Home and Away’s Leah, appeared in The Matrix. I don’t know how many times I’ve watched those films without realizing that she was so young at the time.

As one fan retorted, “How come I’m only now learning that Ada Nicodemou appeared in The Matrix?” other fans were shocked. Another piece written: “Ada Nicodemou in The Matrix got me so flustered as a teen that I couldn’t watch Home and Away the same ever again.”

Ada Nicodemou’s inclusion is quite coincidental, especially considering that she plays a key role in initiating Neo’s storyline. A third person said, “I like to assume the character is actually Leah Patterson and has come a LONG way since her days in Summer Bay.

After leaving a mental health facility not too long ago, Leah is getting used to living with Justin (James Stewart) once more. She won’t sleep in her fiancé’s bed because she fears injuring him. In this Wednesday’s (March 3) episode of the Channel 5 soap opera, Leah confides her anxieties to Valerie (Courtney Clarke).

Until Valerie settles in, she offers to live with Leah and Justin. Leah is thrilled about the possibility, but Justin isn’t so sure. Justin walks Valerie down the beach in an attempt to get to know her better. But it doesn’t take long for him to start upsetting Valerie when he inquires about how she got into the facility. Later, Justin apologizes, and Valerie accepts him, but he still has doubts about his new roommate.
