Felicity Newman from Home and Away will take a significant step forward next week as she attempts to move on from her traumatic attack.

Felicity will visit the Battle of the Bands competition to support Lyrik in scenes showing this week in the UK. However, the night takes a terrifying turn for her when an unknown individual spikes her drink and she loses consciousness, only to wake up to discover that she has been sexually attacked.

Felicity dodges queries from her concerned husband Tane Parata in scenes that will run on Channel 5 in the UK next week. When Tane presses her to open up, she instead tries to seduce him.

Tane, however, withdraws from her advances since he is aware of his wife’s vulnerability in the aftermath of the horrific incident. However, for Felicity, this feels like a rejection, and she becomes enraged with Tane, believing that he does not want her.

When Felicity later notices an abandoned drink at Salt, she has an outburst and declares that everyone must now buy their own beverages. Tane is distressed to see his wife in such distress, but he is unable to reach her.

After her assault, Felicity becomes sure that Tane no longer finds her attractive. She screams at her husband, telling him that all she wants to do is get on with her life, but he can’t seem to do the same.

Tane tells Felicity’s brother, Cash Newman, that Felicity is closing down and pushing him away as he attempts to help her.

After speaking with Eden Fowler, Felicity informs Tane that she is frightened about losing him. Tane takes action right away, appealing with Felicity not to self-destruct.

Finally, Felicity informs her husband that she is willing to try therapy, and Tane assures her that they will get through this together.

Felicity, have you reached a turning point?

Felicity’s actress, Jacqui Purvis, recently spoke exclusively to Digital Spy about the plot, stating that her character will face “trauma” and “grief” as a result of the assault.

“One of Flick’s responses is to sexualize herself.” She does not want to be perceived as “dirty” or “used.” She doesn’t want Tane to think she’s those things, therefore she wants to be sexual,” she said of Felicity’s attitude in the next scenes.

The star went on to explain that the story “does really help us to get another insight into Felicity and Tane’s beautiful relationship, show how strong it is, and show that they’re always there for one another,” adding that the story “does really help us to get another insight into Felicity and Tane’s beautiful relationship, show how strong it is, and show that they’re always there for one another.”
