Home and Away’s Lincoln Younes: Romances, living in America and playing Casey Braxton

Lincoln’s breakout role was at the beginning of his acting career when he played Casey Braxton in Home and Away – one of the three initial Braxton boys and the River Boys

Lincoln Younes is known to many for playing the character Casey Braxton in Home and Away.

He held the role for five years, and was one of the Braxton brothers and River Boys.

However, since departing the soap he has remained busy in Australia and in America.

How old is Lincoln and where is he from?

Lincoln was born on January 31, 1992, thus he is 31 years old. He was born in Sydney but raised in Bendigo, Victoria, and is partly Lebanese.

His first interest was not acting, but soccer, which he played for 14 years. He aspired to play professional football.

After appearing in a school play of Peter Pan, he realized he wanted to be an actor instead.

Before beginning a Bachelor of Arts at Melbourne University, he was accepted into a one-year weekend programme at the National Institute of Dramatic Art. After six months, he chose to defer.

What TV shows and films has Lincoln acted in?

Lincoln made his acting debut as Tyler Drew in an episode of the crime thriller City Homicide in 2009.

He was also cast as Romeo Kovac in Tangle, a 2013 drama series. For the part, he received the ASTRA Award for Most Outstanding Male Actor. In 2010, he directed his first picture, The Wedding.

Lincoln moved to Sydney in 2011 after landing the role of Casey Braxton in Home and Away. For his depiction of Casey, he received the Inside Soap Award for Best Daytime Star.

The soap star opted to leave the show in 2014 and worked with the show’s writers to have his character go.

Later, as Chris Vesty, he appeared in the Nine Network drama Love Child and the ABC miniseries Hiding.

He appeared in two Australian films, the 2016 black comedy Down Under and the murder drama Dead Lucky two years later.

He was cast in the ABC drama Grand Hotel, produced by Eva Longoria, as one of his first American jobs. The show was canceled after only one season.

Prior to the epidemic, he appeared in The CW’s The Lost Boys pilot as Benjamin, the leader of a vampire gang. It was, however, halted due to Covid-19.

In 2021, he will appear in the fifth season of the drama series Doctor Doctor.

He had a supporting role in the 2022 surfing drama series Barons as well as the drama After the Verdict last year.

Where does Lincoln live?

Lincoln splits his time between Australia and the United States, depending on the project at hand.

He revealed that he has a wandering existence. He told The Sydney Morning Herald, “I’ve moved around a lot.”

“I traveled to Sydney, Gosford, Canberra, Bendigo, Melbourne, and then to Los Angeles.” So when people ask, ‘Where’s your home?’ “I guess where my suitcase is,” I say.

Is Lincoln in a relationship?

During his time on Home and Away, Lincoln was in a long-term relationship with fellow Australian actress Amy Ruffle. They dated from 2011 until 2016.

Amy starred in the TV series Mako Mermaids as Sirena. She held the role for 52 episodes, from 2013 to 2015.

It was rumoured earlier this year that he is dating his Last King of The Cross co-star Courtney Clarke. The pair were spotted enjoying lunch with a friend in Sydney, before walking around the city holding hands.
