Samia Longchambon, a star of Coronation Street, posted an amazing throwback photo starring various EastEnders and Corrie legends at the start of their careers in response to the news that CITV will be permanently shutting down.

The Maria Connor actress posted a photo of the cast of the well-known children’s television program The Ward—previously known as Children’s Ward—on Instagram, reflecting on the “special memories” she made while working on it.

From 1989 through 2000, Children’s Ward aired on CITV and launched the careers of several soap opera and drama stars.

Samia wasn’t the only soap actress to be up; Jane Danson, who portrays Leanne Battersby on Corrie, also made an appearance.

Danny Dyer, who portrayed Mick Carter on the BBC soap opera from 2013 to 2022, joined them.

It’s disappointing to learn that CITV will no longer be a channel. I have fond memories of contributing to some of its presentations. Below the vintage photo, Samia jotted something.

“Can you find Danny Dyer, Jane Danson, and I?” She pushed back at her supporters.

Samia is seated in the front row, second from the left, Jane is in the row behind, furthest to the left, and Danny is on the end of the row at the back, just in case you need a helping hand.

Danny remarked on his time on the show in the comments section, writing, “Good memories. Beautiful individuals.

Jane, meanwhile, expressed her disappointment at the CITV finale by writing: “Absolutely heartbreaking. It provided us young actors with such a fantastic platform and resulted in some incredible plays. What a shame.

Fellow Coronation Street actress Tina O’Brien, who also did a time on Children’s Ward, also reacted, saying: ‘Ahhh just like I remember you.’
