On General Hospital, Ava eventually told Sonny Corinthos the truth. And Sonny had a lot to say, as usual. He was extremely furious when he realized that Nikolas, Ava’s ex-husband, had sex with Esme, the girlfriend of his son Spencer. What a shocker! This is morally repugnant! This is gross! Is this…familiar?
Sonny Corinthos:Â Do as I Say, Not as I Do
We understand that Sonny (Maurice Benard) has a lengthy history of blaming others for crimes he has personally committed. Sonny excels at creating separate spaces. He always makes his actions clear-cut to understand.
Did you know his stepfather was violent? Did you know that he feels driven to always look out for his family? Do you realize that the only reason he murders is because the other guy makes him do it? There, one of those justifications ought to address whatever anyone thought he done wrong this time. But don’t for a second imagine it also applies to other people.
General Hospital:Â None of the Above
Unfortunately, he can’t use his typical reasons in this situation. Yes, we are aware that Nik slept with Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl), a kind of girlfriend of Spencer’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez), and they were the parents of adorable Ace.
However, as it turns out, Sonny had an affair with Ava (Maura West), the fiancée of his son Morgan (Bryan Craig), and as a result, he had his youngest child, Avery. Yes, Sonny performed it in a tomb. He also didn’t imprison Ava in the family castle later. However, he did warn her that he would kill her as soon as she delivered the baby. So, the element of psychological torment was still present.
Sonny Corinthos:Â Call and Response
Ava wasn’t thinking clearly, therefore she must still be in shock from the blow Betty gave her to the head. She neglected to mention that Sonny had committed the very same offense that he was now criticizing Nik for. Thank goodness we were all shouting it at the TV instead.
