Victor waits for Adam, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) to finish speaking before he responds. Nick uses his fists to communicate.

He hits Adam because he is sick and weary of his smarmy behavior. Victor obviously didn’t anticipate that.

However, it supports what he says later, which is that his wife Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) would lead Newman Media.

Y&R reveals: Adam is shocked

Nikki is shocked because she just learned about her promotion now. Nick’s mischievousness serves as a punctuation mark for Victor’s justification as he explains it to the group.

Adam, on the other hand, interprets the action negatively and feels that his father is punishing him by appointing Nikki to lead.

Adam’s next move will likely be another scorched-earth attempt to win his father’s love and respect by attempting to kill him, setting up his next move.

Prior to Victor’s announcement, Sharon was prepared to cut her losses and leave, but with Nikki in power, anything might happen.

She and Nikki did not get along when Shick got married, but things have improved since then, and Nikki has proven her commitment by standing by Sharon when she battled cancer.

Nikki would be prudent to support Sharon’s plans to use Kirsten Incorporated to have a significant positive impact on the globe.

The alternative would be for Sharon to oppose the merger that is currently taking place, but when there is money to be made—the Newman way—no one believes that is a good idea.
