The unanticipated yet incredible character shown on Coronation Street could stop killer Stephen Reid

In the Wednesday, August 30, episode of Coronation Street, when Carla Connor (Alison King) expressed her concerns that someone had previously drugged her with LSD, the realization finally dawned on her.

Carla’s hypothesis is verified to be entirely accurate. Carla was drugged a few months earlier by Stephen (Todd Boyce), with the intention that she would become very ill and subsequently resign from her position at Underworld.

Carla took this action after experiencing what she believed to be numerous psychotic episodes. She then made the decision to recover for a period of time in a mental health facility, and in recent weeks, she has felt well enough to resume working at the factory.

Carla and Lou, the wife of Rufus, whom Stephen killed, became friends as a result of their shared employment at the factory.

Carla and Lou were discussing Rufus’ past drug use on tonight’s program. Lou said that although Rufus would frequently take a tiny amount of LSD every day, she never made it a habit since she didn’t like the effects it had on her physical and emotional well-being.

As Lou talked, Carla began to realize that she shared many of the same symptoms that Rufus had after using narcotics.

Carla was able to conclude from this that she had been LSD-spiked, but it is understandable that she didn’t want to inform her family and friends because it wouldn’t seem good.

But Carla didn’t back down, telling Peter and Doctor Gaddas that she isn’t crazy and that her theory is correct.

Carla addressed Roy in the cafe, assuming he was still of the opinion that she wasn’t mentally sound.

Then it became clear that Roy had given Carla’s charge more thinking. He gave her the contact information for a clinic and instructed her to send them a sample of her hair so they could determine whether or not she was in possession of LSD.

Carla pledged to ‘raise hell’ if the findings are positive, and Stephen was being led upstairs by Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) as they shared a kiss.

Since LSD has a 90-day half-life, whether Stephen drugged Carla inside that window will determine if the test is positive.

If Carla’s hypothesis is confirmed, all she needs to do is gather sufficient proof that Stephen was accountable.

Who would have imagined that after all this time, Roy Cropper may be the one to start the series of incidents that will ultimately result in Stephen Reid’s demise.
