According to spoilers for “The Young and the Restless,” Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) has made Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) an extremely painful proposition. It has put Phyllis in a tight spot, and it’s unclear how she can get out of it. Will Phyllis be able to fulfill her desires in some way?

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Pride in the Way

Perhaps Christine Williams, the Genoa City D.A., is the victim of Phyllis Summers’ overconfidence. Phyllis is aware that EMT Carson (Walter Belenky), who would testify on her behalf, will claim that it was Jeremy Stark’s (James Hyde) plan to fabricate Phyllis’ death. He will also say that Phyllis killed Stark in self-defense when he attacked her.

All of this is untrue, but Phyllis is confident that Carson will support her. She is so certain of this that she almost brags to Christine about it. Phyllis is not liked or trusted by Christine. She does desire to see Phyllis held accountable for her misdeeds. However, Phyllis is confident that she will escape with nothing.

Christine retorts that it is unfortunate that Phyllis got her daughter Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) into this situation when she gloats over it. She might be prosecuted for giving her mother assistance when she was running away. Christine finds it disgusting that Phyllis would subject her kid to this.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: A Nasty Deal

This information tremendously upsets Phyllis, who initially threatens Christine by telling her not to do anything to her daughter. Christine asks Phyllis to leave Summer alone even though she can charge her with whatever she wants.

Christine inserts the knife and spins it at this point. She makes Phyllis an offer, saying that if Phyllis will admit to the allegations and not file an appeal, she will drop all charges against Summer. Summer will be exonerated if she agrees to accept responsibility for her inappropriate behavior.

How will Phyllis respond? She does not desire to serve any time behind bars. But she has already caused Summer a lot of suffering. Shouldn’t she be prepared to accept full responsibility in order to protect her kids? Does she truly care about them enough to do that? How do you feel? Is she too self-centered to help Summer? How is she going to save Summer AND get away with all this?
