In a poll conducted by Australian soap fan site Back to the Bay, Jarrod ‘Toadie’ Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney) was named the most favorite Neighbours character of all time.

The poll garnered thousands of votes from fans all across the world, with 36% of people choosing him as one of their top three favorite characters.

Second and third place went to ‘Paul Robinson’ (Stefan Dennis) and ‘Susan Kennedy’ (Jackie Woodburne), respectively.

‘Charlene Robinson,’ played by Kylie Minogue, was ranked #10.

Jarrod Rebecchi, also known as Toadie, was the undisputed winner.

Toadie, played by Ryan Moloney, first appeared on Neighbours in January 1995 (September 1995 in the UK) and has since been a fan favorite. Toadie has been loved, hurt, shot, and paralyzed, and drove an ancient Holden off a ‘cliff’ after his wedding in his almost 27 years in Erinsborough.

“Wow, this is really cool!” Thank you so much; it’s a fantastic way to end a year that has been full of challenges. “The entire cast appreciates all of the love and supports our UK fans continue to show Neighbours, and I’m personally ecstatic,” Moloney added.

“Toadie is a true Neighbours legend and he’s more than deserving of this honor,” Neighbours Executive Producer Jason Herbison told TV Tonight. The fact that Ryan Maloney has topped this list is a testament to his famous performance — everyone knows Toadie!”
