Jackson Montgomery’s appearance on GENERAL HOSPITAL thrilled viewers, but they were even happier to learn that Walt Willey would be returning as his ALL MY CHILDREN alter ego to the soap opera, this time to Port Charles! Just a friendly reminder that my upcoming appearances on General Hospital are on Tuesday, August 29, and Wednesday, August 30. Willey made a statement on X (previously Twitter). Please listen in! I won’t reveal much, but I will say that this Jackson is ‘old school’ and unquestionably ‘OG,’ baby! I’m eager to hear your opinions.

Willey is appreciative of everyone who cooperated to make it possible for him to return to ABC Daytime. “Thanks to Frank Valentini, GH’s executive producer,” he said, “casting director Mark Teschner, the cast and crew at GH, and the inimitable Lynn Herring (Lucy), for taking me on this ride and making it so damn much fun!”

The actor is also appreciative of his former AMC castmate, who provided him with housing while he was in Los Angeles filming GH. And thanks to our dependable host, Michael E. Knight (Martin; Tad, AMC) for his warm hospitality. Willey announced. And I want to thank you for listening to what I think and for caring enough to tell The Powers That Be about it.

In 1987, Willey made his television debut as Jackson Montgomery, an attorney, on AMC. He stayed with the soap opera until its final episode on ABC in 2011. He even temporarily transferred the audience favorite to the sister soap THE CITY in 1996 for a few episodes!

In the GH episode from July 12 when Lucy and Felicia visited Pine Valley, Willey reprised his part. He also made another appearance in the episodes from July 17 and 18 as the lawyer who discovered the women’s plot to snoop through his personal files. Jackson will be in Port Charles this time, though, as he files a lawsuit against Deception for alleged intellectual property theft. However, the Deception team has a lawyer of their own, Carly Hughes (a Broadway veteran and daytime newcomer), so he could be in for some trouble.
