Will Walt Willey Bring Susan Lucci from Pine Valley to Port Charles?

Walt Willey is once more experimenting with romantic chemistry on General Hospital where he is currently reprising his role as Jackson Montgomery from All My Children. He recently commented on the possibility of reuniting with Susan Lucci, aka Erica Kane, his longtime AMC co-star. He is currently paired with the consistently entertaining Lynn Herring, who plays Lucy.

Walt Willey Loves Playing Jackson

You know, I was really honored. Willey co-hosts with George Pennachio, an entertainment reporter for KABC-TV, Channel 7. “What a wonderful thing,” I thought. “I don’t think any actor expects to spend 90% of their career playing the same character.” In addition to his lengthy tenure on AMC, Ryan’s Hope, where he played Joe Novak, and Another World, where he played Jim LaRusso in a plot involving Stephen Schnetzer (Cass) and the late Nancy Frangione (Cecile), Willey has experience in daytime television. But with today’s pace, it was a little difficult to get back into the daytime routine.

“I was told by people, ‘Oh, don’t worry. You’ll immediately get back on; it’s just like riding a bicycle. Willey declares. Well, that’s true, but I got back on after being pushed out into the Tour de France’s middle, laughed Willey. “These people are on the move!”

Erica Kane Travel Plans

Willey is aware that fans would be thrilled to see Erica join him on GH, as is only natural. When the postponed ceremony finally occurs, Lucci most likely will fly to the West Coast to accept her Lifetime Achievement Daytime Emmy Award. GH might use that opportunity to bring Lucci on for a few shows. And to everyone who wants me to bring Susan Lucci along the next time, I’ll do so as soon as I find a travel trunk large enough. Willey chuckles. “I’m just going to bring her in,” you say, “I want to give her some space.”

Walt Willey Will Likely Be Back for More GH

In between appearances on GH, Walt Willey is working on his art. The actor-turned-artist has been painting portraits, and you can check out his work on his Etsy shop. Willey gets up very early to work on his art, painting from around six in the morning until noon. It’s fantastic, he says. In his on-air report, Pennacchio mentioned that Willey has been invited to a GH fan event at Graceland in October. The reporter hypothesized that Willey could return to General Hospital if he engages in publicity meet-and-greets with fans.
