At home, Emmerdale watchers quickly realized something was seriously wrong when Rhona Goskirk and baby Ivy fled.
After Rhona made the decision to leave the village with baby Ivy without warning, the viewers of Emmerdale swiftly identified a serious issue with Rhona’s character.

When Rhona’s former partner Gus was revealed earlier this year, it became apparent that he kept the embryos they had made together because his partner was unable to conceive.

The plot deepened when Rhona learned that Lucy was heavily pregnant as a result of Gus taking their embryos without telling her; this action resulted in Lucy’s death during childbirth and the need for medical care for baby Ivy.

Rhona has been coping with difficulties ever since this upheaval. After Gus handed baby Ivy into her temporary custody, she found herself forming an emotional bond with the infant.

In last night’s episode of the popular ITV soap, Gus announced his plans to move to France and take baby Ivy with him. An unhappy Rhona ran away with the baby after a last-day good-bye visit from Gus.

Viewers back home were quick to point out what seemed like an oversight: Rhona appears to have forgotten about her other children. One fan posted on Twitter: “Does Rhona ever do anything with Leo because she seems more interested in Ivy #Emmerdale.”

Another added: “So Rhona has gone off with her beautiful, perfect daughter leaving Leo her special needs son and her step daughter behind. #Emmerdale.”

“Rhona has been so selfish, forgetting all about Leo and April,” one person wrote. “Rhona doesn’t care about Leo or April,” another person added. Someone else added, “#Emmerdale Rhona is driving Leo and April from their family home with her tunnel desire for Ivy.”

One last admirer said, “Rhona seems to be more concerned about Ivy than Leo. He’s not gotten any attention from her lately. #Emmerdale.
